City of Beaumont

The City of Beaumont awarded Alberta Broadband Networks a contract to improve its current broadband infrastructure through development of a citywide fibre network.   Construction on the 140 kms network began in November 2022 and was completed just over a year late.   The network passes approximately 9,000 residential and business units in the city., representing

Alberta Broadband Networks closely collaborated with the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont  Communications team to ensure the network was designed to meet the specific needs of both the city’s residents and business community.

Sherwood Park

Sherwood Park, Alberta, is known for its urban service area, which is recognized as equivalent to a city, despite its hamlet status. The community is a significant urban center within Strathcona County, with a population of over 75,000 as of 2024.

Alberta Broadband Networks worked in collaboration with Strathcona County and their Major Project Development team to design and construct a network that would meet the specific needs of Sherwood Park’s residents and business community.

Spanning nearly 500 kms and passing more than 33,000 residential and business locations.  Construction began in March 2023 and was completed in July 2025.

Town of Vermilion

Alberta Broadband Networks worked in close partnership with the Town of Vermilion to enhance its infrastructure to deploy a fibre optic network that would serve the entire community.   Construction on the 45 kms network began in July 2022 and was completed in December 2022.  The network passes nearly 2,250 units.
